Oh good, I've been looking for a soundbar with only occasionally functional AI features.

I've had two Samsung soundbars start to fail at about the 2 year mark of use. Extremely frustrating.

I have a Samsung Q930C initially have issues with app detection post-setup (replicated on several iOS devices and after firmware updates and factory resets). It failed completely 1 year and 11 months with intermittent loss of speaker output or hissing. Samsung support was great - after providing all the troubleshooting information they organised a free out of warranty repair where the PCB was replaced and have not had any issues since and the bluetooth/app detection issue is resolved. I was also offered a significant discount on future item purchase. I am brand agnostic and would buy again as it is hard to beat their price to features. I have also used Denon (faulty, would not buy again) and Yamaha (yet to fail after several years of almost daily use). In no way representative of everyone else's experience- two other family members have had no issues with their Q990B and Q930C models - however thought I would share a positive outcome in my own. I do know of some horror faulty mobile phone issues from a long time ago - in one instance a case for a faulty new phone that went on for several months and when a senior telco manager intervened it was resolved with a swap for a new device the same day - and hopefully they have turned a new leaf across the board and improved the post sales support experience.
