  Comes down to how overpriced the 5.2ah twin pack is. Buying the 2Ah at $40 then surrendering it to get $50 off only saves you $10 - you'd be better off waiting for a special on the 5.2Ah to save more than that.

  They don't actually want the old batteries. It's a sales promo, nothing more. Look at the prices they are charging to start with, still lots of profit margin in it for them.   So I could bring 1 old (working) 2ah Ozito 18v battery and get the 5.2ah Twin pack for $129? I don't see the Ozito mentioned in the T&C's is all

  I've seen reports of people bringing in non-working batteries on previous offers like these at Bunnings. It seems that as long as a battery is produced, there is very little consideration given to it's quality or operational status. Naturally YMMV as I have not done this myself and have only seen comments from others.
