Note: has a 2.4 and a 5GHz band. No dual 5GHz or 6GHz. This would likely really affect speeds as it depends on the single 5GHz frequency for the backhaul and for data intensive clients. If there is a lot of congestion on 5GHz, you won't get great speed or reliability. While the BE protocol may be appealing, you won't get its full benefit by aggregating two congested bands that are at the same time serving as backhaul. Unless you're using wired backhaul or don't have much congestion, perhaps better spending a bit more for something with 6GHz or dual 5GHz.

How does this compare to XE75 Pro?

  • +1·Make it so·3d ago

I have the XE75 Pro, which differs from the XE75 by one of its ethernet ports supporting 2.5Gbit/s. It does not support the BE protocol (WiFi 7), that enables multiple bands to be used concurrently, but in practice it will give more bandwidth to a larger number of devices. The XE75 has a 2.4GHz, 5GHz and a 6GHz band. Both the 5GHz and 6GHz bands can reach 2.4GHz (theoretically). Because the 6GHz band will have virtually no congestion, it is ideal for use as backhaul (communication between nodes), or for select devices that need high bandwidth. I find the XE75 Pro very reliable, and my WiFi coverage and speeds are great. If you're using wired backhaul, then the BE5000 may give better performance if there isn't much congestion. But otherwise, I'd be quite worried about actual speeds.
