From 1 July 2026 the ATO has removed the $2 minimum threshold for claiming charitable donation deductions. Any amount gifted to a registered Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) may now be claimable on your tax return — keep your receipts. No purchase required; check the ATO website for the full list of eligible organisations.
