Visit your local Westfield Concierge desk to purchase a Westfield eftpos Gift Card and the usual $2.95 service fee is waived — no minimum spend required. Membership is free: download the Westfield App and scan the QR code at the desk to register. The physical eftpos card works at virtually any Australian merchant with an eftpos facility, not just stores inside Westfield centres. Practical uses include meeting a new credit card's minimum spend requirement without paying Visa/Mastercard surcharges, earning Amex reward points at merchants that don't otherwise accept Amex, and bypassing card surcharges at cafés and restaurants. Note: Officeworks has blocked Westfield eftpos gift cards for several years, so they won't work there. Because cards are purchased directly from the Concierge desk (not off a supermarket shelf), they carry no tampering risk.
