  We have taller ~400ml glasses, one type with handle and one without. We tend to reach for the handle version more frequently, having a handle to grab is just more convenient and practical sometimes. I also find when making a cup of tea, it's nice to have something to wrap the teabag around to stop it falling in.

  Doesn’t the glass being double walled have the same effect as using the handle? Isn’t the handle redundant in this instance?

  You can use both hands, one on the handle and one on the side of the mug to stabilise it, which may be necessary depending on your hand strength, given that 450 ml is roughly 100 ml more capacity than the average mug. I've got a couple of Bodum mugs, might actually be the ones in this deal, that I bought a few years ago and I like them a lot. Much prefer the higher capacity and I like being able to see what I'm drinking, also don't have to worry about burning my hand on a hot mug.
